Mobile Example | Dance Props App
This app was initially designed to help the prop crew for my daughter's competition dance team. The goal is to provide a studio-specifc routine order during multi-studio competitions that also outlined what props would need to be set up for which of the team's nearly five dozen routines and when.
To help with navigating the large number of entires, the routines are grouped by the competition session they are assigned to, and each group was made collasible for ease of use.
Each routine is identified by its title, competition entry number, and estimated start time, and routines with props are denoted with a list icon that opens a list of props when tapped. I did consider removing the entry times as the competitions are notorious for running ahead or behind, especially towards end of day; but in talking with other parents, I found that they still found the times useful as they would note through the day how far ahead or behind the schedule was running and mentally adjust accordingly.
While this was initially designed for the prop team, other parents that saw the app asked to use it as well since a version of the competition order specific to our team is easier to to keep track of instead of a show order for multiple dance studios.
